I like bead weaving small designs that can be used as charms.

The difficult part is that to make the design very small you have to use small beads, and the smaller the beads the more challenging it is to weave the beads.

One of my favorite bead charms is the handbag charm.

I created this using Swarovski bicone 5301 beads in 5mm and 4mm sizes and two different colors, golden shadow and crystal copper.

And then I used size 11 bronze color seed beads to create the handle.

If you want to challenge yourself and go smaller you can use 4mm and 3mm beads. This size is probably better to make a pendant, but because the beads are smaller it is harder to weave.

If you want to get really creative another interesting option to try for this design is to use swarovski pearls.

The actual weave itself is not that difficult.

You first weave the top section into a ring configuration using the smaller sized bicone beads. Then you build a ring configuration on the bottom of that with the larger sized beads.

Next, to turn it into a bag you weave the bottom part closed using additional larger beads.

Finally, you use seed beads to make the cute handle.

You can use this charm as a pendant on a necklace, or attach it with a lobster clasp and use as a charm on a bracelet.
